The Honourable Minister of Youth and Sports, Barrister Solomon Selcap Dalung in collaboration with National Directorate of Employment (NDE) have trained and empowered One Hundred and Five (105) Plateau Women. The Minister who mobilized and Trained 105 Plateau Women on Skills acquisition ranging from liquid soaps making, Jelly etc in order to be self-employed.
The distribution of the materials and start up capital were carried out within the three (3) Senatorial Zones of Plateau State.
At the Northern Zone which comprises of Bassa, Barkin Ladi, Riyom, Jos North, Jos South and Jos East, 35 Participants received their materials and cash at Plateau Hotel Jos. At the Central Zone, which comprises of Bokkos, Mangu, Pankshin, Kanke and Kanam. 35 Participants received their materials and cash at Pankshin Youth Center. At the Southern Zone which comprises of Quanpan, Mikang, Shendam, Wase, Langtang South and Langtang North. 35 Participants received their materials and cash at Langtang North Mini Stadium.
Each of the beneficiaries received complete package of Cosmetology which comprises of Sulphonic , Acid, Caustic Soda, STPP, Formaline, Colour, Antisole, Containers 500ml and also Pomade Items comprises of: Petroleum Jelly, Praffine Oil, Praffine Wax, Fragrance, containers 125grms. Apart from the materials donated to the Participants, a running capital were granted to the beneficiaries.
The Minister who was represented by the Secretary of his Foundation tasks all participants to be committed in their businesses as the only way to succeed.

At the Northern Zone, one of the beneficiary, Eunice Dalyop, thanked the minister for given them the opportunity. Also at the Central Zone, Ms. Kauna Musa appreciates the Minister and Federal Government on behalf the participants for training and empowering them. In the same way,Chamang Datong on behalf of the Southern Zone beneficiaries thanked the minister for the laudable programme he put together which has impacted positively in their lives.
