SOLOMON DALUNG FOUNDATION PRESENTS RELIEF MATERIALS TO IDPs IN PLATEAU
The Solomon Dalung Foundation has presented relief materials to Internally Displaced Persons following the recent communal crisis in Plateau state.
The materials include 200 bags of foodstuff.
Presenting the relief materials to the Church of Christ In Nations currently housing the displaced persons in over 17 locations from Barkin Ladi, Riyom and Angulidi in Jos south area, the Minister of Youth and Sports Barrister Solomon Dalung said it was his modest contribution to alleviate the plight of the indigenes affected by the crises.
“This is our little donation to reduce the suffering of people who lost their homes in the recent crises on the Plateau. The Federal government will not relent in its efforts to guarantee the safety of lives and property of its citizens. The FG will stop at nothing in unveiling the perpetrators of the dastardly acts and bringing them to justice.
The Minister also appealed to public spirited Nigerians to donate food, clothing and medical supplies to support the victims of the crises ridden area.
“In donating to these internally displaced persons affected by the crises, we will be showing love to them and guaranteeing them that all hope is not lost.”
Barrister Dalung also appreciated efforts of the security in ensuring that peace returns to the area and called on them to beef up their campaign against criminality.
He also appealed to the government to ensure that the victims return to their various communities in no distant time.
Receiving the relief materials on behalf of the IDPs, the President of COCIN Rev Dr. Datiri Dachollom.
thanked the Minister for his benevolence adding that it will go a long way in cushioning the effects of the crises on the displaced persons.
He promised that the materials will reach the people for whom it was designated and prayed to God to bless him.
