DALUNG RECEIVES AWARD OF EXCELLENCE FROM 60 GOALS SOCCER STARS
Organizers of the 60 Goals Soccer Stars Project on Wednesday presented an award to former Minister of Youth and Sports Barrister Solomon Dalung for his exemplary contribution and services to the development of sporting activities in the country and beyond.
Presenting a Certificate of Patronship to Barrister Dalung, the National Coordinator of 60 Goals Soccer Stars Project and FIFA licensed Agent Miss Jane Ndubisi thanked the Minister for his contribution to grassroots football development in the country.
“I want to use this opportunity to thank our daddy, the former Minister of Sports Barrister Solomon Dalung. He has been a great man in the area of grassroots sports and he has helped us to develop a lot of players and we thank him for being there for us.
“On behalf of Fulham, an English Championship side and Top flight Football our partners in this project, we also say thank you. We appreciate you with this certificate we are presenting to you and to tell you that your achievements and good works especially in the sports industry will never be forgotten”.
Responding, Barrister Dalung thanked them for deeming him worthy to receive the award for his contribution to sports.
“In life, you don’t assess yourself. Your actions, intentions and performance are mirrored by careful observers. I thank you for this award and I wish you success in your project .”
The 60 Soccer Stars Project is in collaboration with former U-23 Coach and former Super Eagles player Samson Siasia, Fulham, an English Premiership side and Top Flight Football to search for and develop young talents in Nigeria. They will also provide opportunities and platforms for discovered grassroots footballers in Nigeria to join the European League in an automatic sign-up contract deal.
